What an opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind impala at a great price. It’s only original once!! Update on the condition of the car. The impala interior has been restored and the front seat reupholstered by a local upholstery shop that specializes in classic cars. The car has also been repainted to its original color and the body only had minor dings and scrapes prior to repainting. Car was painted in february 2017. I am selling it for a friend of mine, who is the third owner. Up for auction is a well-kept, well maintained, all-original 1966 impala station wagon with only 53,000 original miles. This vehicle was purchased from a gentleman (second owner) in york, pennsylvania who owned it for about 17 years. He always kept it garaged (like the first owner--who he knew well). It has never been driven in the snow and it shows. In fact, it appears that the second owner only drove it for about 8,200 miles in 17 years. This impala has the dependable 283cid/220hp 4-barrel v8 engine, power-glide trans., power steering and a host of other factory options (listed below). Photos cannot the true beauty and originality of this timeless classic painted in the original color ermine white with the original artesian turquoise interior. The floor pans, frame rails, and suspension are in excellent condition. It appears that the undercarriage has no rust/no rot. The overall condition of the body is very good (bring a magnet). All of the glass is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. The windows go up and down freely and all the doors, including the rear tailgate, fit and shut securely. All of the pot metal, bumpers, bumper guards, storage rack, moldings, glass etc. Are also in very good condition. the dash also has some cracking and some of the seats are also torn, however, the steering wheel is cracked. I have contacted an upholstery shop and all of the work mentioned above can be done inexpensively. in my opinion, this is an unbelievable find and ranks well above the status of a routine, ordinary survivor. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. It has a clear title. Drive it home! · 220-hp 283 v8. · power steering. · soft-ray tinted glass. · bumper guards. · roof luggage carrier (superb condition). · auxiliary chrome steps were mounted on the rear bumper at the factory for stepping up to the roof luggage carrier (a very rare option). · outside rearview mirrors alongside the original antenna. · chrome gas tank door filler guard. · power operated rear window with 2 control switches in tailgate outside lock and on the instrument panel. · an additional electric switch with light is adjacent to third seat to lower window only. · tissue dispenser comes with the car (taken out for gauges) · rear stowage compartment lock. · rally wheels. · original spare, with original jack, jack base, etc. Classic station wagons, in this condition, are almost impossible to find these days! It’s really that good!
